Teams are listed in order of registration.

For the Women's Tournament, the WRC is a Rankings Tournament classification, A teams will have priority.  If there are still spots available they will be given to the teams on the wait list.

The West Region Challenge has receive the highest NCVF Classification as a Men's Recognized Tournament.  We are honored to be able to provide a tournament that will contribute to everyone's pursuit of winning a national championship.

The women's side of the tournament has been classified as an NCVF Rankings Tournament, the only Rankings Tournament on the West coast.

West Region Challenge 

March 20-21, 2020

Anaheim, CA

*The NCVF has classified the tournament as a Men's Classified Regulation Event (highest classification) & is an NCVF Recognized Rankings Event.


  • Location -  American Sports Center - 1500 S Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805
  • Tournament Cost & Deadline - $450 due by February 15, 2020
  • Host Conference - Southern California Collegiate Volleyball League (SCCVL)

  • Tournament Rules Statement
    • All NCVF Governance Rules will apply.
  • Tournament Seeding & Pool Play Assignments Statement
    • All tournament seeding will be determined by the NCVF Women’s & Men's Committee.
  • Tournament Officials
    • At least one certified official will be assigned to each match.
  • Team Selection Statement (Women only)
    • A-Team Priority - All A-teams are given priority up until 21 days before the start of the tournament (display date). All B-teams will be placed onto a wait-list, in order of contact to the host school. Should openings be available after 21 days prior to the tournament (display date), B-teams will be contacted, in order, of notification of entry to the event.
  • Team Withdrawal Statement
    • Teams may withdraw from the event if a request is made in writing at least 21 days before the tournament, by February 28, 2020.  Refund requests received after this time period will not be granted except by the NCVF Women’s Committee (acts of God, dangerous weather conditions, etc.). The hosting conference must notify the NCVF Women's & Men's Committee of any school that withdraws less than 21 days before the tournament. Such teams may be subject to sanctions. The hosting conference is required to provide a full refund within 30 days of written withdrawal.
  • Hotel Information - $150.00 per night plus 10.195% occupancy tax in Deluxe Guestroom at ALO Hotel by Ayres.

    Group rates include complimentary full American buffet breakfast, on-site parking, WiFi access throughout the hotel. The hotel offers a heated outdoor pool and spa, fitness center and business center. Anepalco Restaurant Onsite, Walking distance to Starbucks, Wendy’s, Quizno’s and The Outlets at Orange and 3 miles to Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney. 1.5 miles from the American Sports Center.

About the West Region Challenge

The West Region Challenge is open for all college club teams in the country.  Come compete in one of the toughest regions in the nation playing against former national champions and runners-up.

Each team will play 5 matches minimum with certified up refs for every match.  

The location for the West Region Challenge is the American Sports Center, the official training facility for Team USA Volleyball located in Anaheim, CA. Every team will play under 1 roof with men's and women's teams playing side by side.

Teams will have the option to stay at 2 different hotels with special tournament rates and discounts.  All the hotels will be within a 1.5 mile radius or less from the American Sports Center.

Anaheim is conveniently located within 5 airports 20-50 minutes away making your travel to Southern California easier and affordable based on your team's budget.

The city of Anaheim will also be providing discounts to local restaurants and attractions for all participants in the West Region Challenge.

The West Region Challenge will be a total experience for your team as you will compete against some of the best competition in the nation while being entertained in a great city.

The SCCVL looks forward to hosting everyone in this event providing a professional, organized, and fun environment of competition.
